22nd January 2013. – Simpo ŠIK CEO, Ljubomir Ilkic and Roland Tot, CEO of Slovak company GGE, signed the Memorandum of Understanding in the presence of Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Mrkic. The project is about the construction of a cogeneration plant, worth 20 million EUR.
6th December 2012. – NOVA ISKRA, design incubator dedicated to the professionalization of designers in Serbia and the region, as well as to establishing connections between the sectors of creative industries and manufacturing, opened its doors in Belgrade. Beside 18 workstations for designers, which have been designed specially for the space by the local design studio Antipod and manufactured by the Serbian factory Simpo ŠIK, the young professionals from the wide field of design will have a chance to use all other facilities necessary for their professional work - conference room, modeling workshop, photo booth, design library, personalized cupboard, office and kitchen. Beside the Municipality of Savski venac, the project has also been supported in its early phase by Telekom Serbia, Erste Bank, IKEA, Simpo ŠIK, JTI and Guardian.
15th November 2012. – Simpo ŠIK achieved a record daily production of 177,545 tonnes of raw hardboard.
9th February 2012. – In the Serbian Chamber of Commerce annual award ceremony was held for “Companies and individuals that have marked the year”. The Director of Simpo ŠIK, Ljubomir Ilkić, was awarded Manager of the Year for the sustainability of domestic production. Apart from the award winners, many businessmen and public figures, the Serbian Parliament Speaker Slavica Djukić Dejanović, Minister of Agriculture and Trade Dušan Petrović, Minister of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulić and President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Miloš Bugarin also attended the award ceremony.
29th December 2011. – According to the assessment of Business Journalist Association, the Director of Simpo ŠIK Ljubomir Ilkić was awarded the Manager of the Year for the sustainability of domestic production.
16th December 2011. – At the general annual meeting RPK Nis, Simpo ŠIK was awarded for the outstanding results in economic activities.
18th November 2011. – The first exhibition of Simpo at the international Furniture, Equipment and Interior Decoration Fair in Belgrade, was rounded with the award for the quality product in the category of raw material, which is the best proof that the products of Simpo develop the reputation of high-quality and conquer the market. In 2012 Simpo ŠIK will exhibit for the first time on international fairs. The exhibitions are expected to be equally successful and notable, bringing some new awards to the youngest company of Simpo family.
